You do not take over MijnOverheid as a letterbox

MijnOverheid is a person's message box, not a postbox that passes by inheritance. The mail the government sent there does not become the heirs' because they are settling the estate. You do not log in with the deceased's DigiD in order to empty that box. That account is personal and ends. In the file it may stand that there was a MijnOverheid, just as with DigiD, without a username and without a password. The life file already follows that boundary during life: that it exists, yes; particulars for logging in, no. After the death that rule does not change because the box still seems to be full.

Government post can come from many desks: tax, an allowance (toeslag), a municipality, a pension fund that writes through the box. This piece does not name those desks as a complete list. The method is: each desk that still writes, you ask separately, on paper, without taking over the box. You report the death and you ask whether a message is still open that touches the estate, and by which route they send that outside MijnOverheid. A letter on the mat is a prompt. Silence is not proof that there was no message. For each desk, put a line with the date of your question and the date of the reply. If the reply is missing, the line stays open.

You do not put the message box itself into the portal for heirs, not even as a screenshot. A screenshot means that someone has logged in, and that is exactly what is not intended. If a desk provides a paper extract, you keep that extract with that desk. Ervazo keeps the letter and the reply. It does not send them, and it does not fetch the box. A task for each desk that still writes is more workable than one task called read out MijnOverheid. You strike that last task if it stands on the list. The declaration of death remains the route into the register. It does not replace the separate question to a desk that has still sent a concrete letter.

The government mail of the deceased does not pass with the inheritance as a mailbox. You do not read it through DigiD, and you do not keep codes in order to do that later anyway. Each desk that still writes gets its own question on paper. The file notes that MijnOverheid existed, not how you get into it. This is not legal advice. That the declaration brings the death into the register is confirmed by the municipality. What a desk still wants from the estate is confirmed by that desk itself. Whether a message touches the estate inventory is confirmed by the notary from the paper, not from a box that was read.
