Who does not speak

You can write down who you do not want to let speak, or who you do not want to let organise the funeral. A name, and the role you do not want: no speech, or not the organisation. Keep it to that factual sentence. No characterisation, no old quarrel and no explanation that belittles the person. The family must be able to read the sentence on a heavy day without getting a conflict with it. One or two names are enough. A long list of people you exclude becomes a judgement of the circle, and that is not what this field is. If you do not know, leave the line empty. An empty line forces no one and accuses no one. The tone stays calm, even if the wish is clear.

Add in ordinary words that this is a wish the family can read, and not a ban that a court will enforce. That sentence belongs in the file itself, not only in an explanation beside it. A reader who sees only the name can otherwise take the wish for a ban. By writing it alongside, the boundary stays clear. You do not promise the family that they can keep someone out with this text. Funeral wishes bind only if a valid will or a valid codicil truly covers them, and even then only within the limits of the law. This note is not that document. A codicil has its own, strictly handwritten form. A typed refusal here does not take over that form and promises no outcome before a court.

The wish says nothing about who inherits. Someone who does not speak may or may not be an heir. That does not follow from this line and you do not use the line to arrange that. The file appoints no heir and no executor. Do not write that someone therefore may also not collect the belongings or may not see the children. Those are other questions, and this page is only about speaking and the organisation of the funeral. Ervazo stores the sentence and does not send it to a notary or a funeral director. Read the sentence once a year. You change a different decision, so that an old refusal does not remain against your later wishes. Remove a name if the wish is no longer yours.

A life file is a note for later. It is not a will, not a medical instruction and not advice. The sentence names who you do not want to let speak or organise. It is a wish for the family and not a ban that a court enforces. It appoints no heir and no executor. That appointment belongs in a notarial will. A codicil has its own, strictly handwritten form and is not this refusal. Ervazo does not send the note to a doctor or a notary. Keep the words short and without judgement. The family can read them. This line has no more authority than that.
