From life file to estate, without starting over

A life file is for someone who is still alive. Documents, contacts, possessions, wishes about care and the funeral, and a trusted person who may read along. It is not a will and it does not replace a notary.

At the moment of death that same file should not be thrown away. The bank accounts, the home and the contacts are then precisely the start of the winding-up. In Ervazo you convert the file. The phase becomes an estate, the playbook sets the first tasks of an executorship ready, and what had already been recorded stays in place.

What is added: the date of death, the circle of heirs, acceptance, debts, and the distinction between the value on the date of death and the value now. A gift or a bequest (legaat) that during life was only a wish then becomes an entry in the division.

What you should not share automatically: internal notes and amounts. You switch the portal for heirs on per part. Someone who was allowed to read along during life does not, after the conversion, automatically see the whole estate.

This is a way of working in the software. Whether converting is legally correct, and who is authorised, remains a question for the notary or the executor. Ervazo calculates and orders. It does not decide.
